SentryGPS ID - just slightly larger than a standard 9-volt battery!

Although the sentryGPSid and SentryKIDS GPS have one of the smallest form factors on the market today (only slightly larger than a 9-volt battery!), some children may still balk at carrying one on their person instead of just in their backpack.  But let’s face it, the best place for a GPS child location device is directly on the child him or herself so that the child is being tracked and not just their backpack. So here at Sentry, we’ve thought up several ways to help teach your children that it can be enjoyable to keep their sentryGPSid in their pocket.

Show your small children how to “look themselves up” through our secure webportal.  Unlike some child GPS devices, the sentryGPSid does not charge per location request, or limit the number of times you are allowed to locate your device according to what plan you have chosen – so use that to your advantage and teach your child the fun of seeing themselves travel around town.  Or even better, when you take that next family vacation to Disney or the beach (which could very well your motivating reason for purchasing a child GPS device in the first place), show your son or daughter the map of them on their journey.  (Very soon you will even be able to do this from your iPhone or Windows Smart Phone!).  Then “build” their excitement by asking them things on their journey such as “I wonder where Mickey is on the map right now”, or “look how much closer we are to Mickey than we were before”.

Remember to also enforce the concept of the “fun” of tracking themselves on the map throughout their “regular” weeks at home and around town too – the sentryGPSid isn’t just for protecting your child on long trips or vacations!
